The Foundation in Clinical Hypnotherapy

The multi award-winning Northern College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (The NCCH) courses are recognised in the UK, Europe, Asia and internationally. We provide a range of professional hypnotherapy courses and CPD. Our courses are Hybrid, providing a self-paced, learning option, combining the flexibility of eLearning with the choice of classroom-based retreats and live online sessions. 

Students initially gain a Foundation in clinical hypnotherapy.

Aimed at complete beginners, those looking to fill in the gaps of their existing hypnotherapy knowledge, or those who simply want to dip their toe in the water and see if hypnotherapy is for them.

Our foundation course will introduce you to the fascinating world of clinical hypnosis. It is accredited with The Complementary Medical Association and on completion of the course and additional assessment requirements you will be able to choose to register with the CMA and the International Hypnotherapy Association (The IHA) gain access to all of their support, research and insurance to begin your practise. 

The foundation course will cover:

• And of course, you'll get your first experience of guiding someone safely into trance and bringing them back out, we will also give you some powerful confidence building techniques.

Modules, workshops and Masterclasses are packed with resources, you get comprehensive course notes, you will be able to listen to audios, watch videos and we give you access to lots of additional reading to support your unique learning journey too.
You can choose to attend face-to-face professional supervision, mentoring and tutoring with our experienced Tutors you'll do this via video conferencing and at a time that suits you. These professional supervision sessions will keep you on track with your learning, ensure you are meeting the learning objectives of each module and give you the opportunity to ask questions, practise techniques and experience hypnotherapy too.

The Foundation Course:
The Foundation Course serves as an illuminating introduction to the captivating field of clinical hypnosis. Recognised by the International Hypnosis Association, and accredited by The Complementary Medical Association (CMA), this course opens doors for you to register with both CMA and the International Hypnotherapy Association (The IHA). The Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy

On gaining our Foundation you can continue onto the Practitioner Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Hybrid training offers a flexible and comprehensive learning experience, combining eLearning at your own pace with weekly video conferencing, Monthly Meet and master training days, interactive and on demand Masterclasses, and Peer Supervision sessions.

We understand that going back to college requires flexibility, which is why our online, hybrid, and blended learning programmes are designed with you in mind. Whether you need the structure of a classroom or the freedom to study from anywhere, our Hybrid model is the perfect solution.

With Hybrid learning, you can participate in live, interactive classes from the comfort of your home or any location you choose. Our courses blend the benefits of a traditional classroom setting with the flexibility of online learning, offering timetabled live Masterclasses every Monday and weekly practise spaces, Monthly Peer Supervision and meet and master training days.  These sessions feel like being in a physical classroom—engage in discussions, ask questions, and interact with both tutors and peers.

Each module includes hands-on practice supported by demonstrations and real-world hypnotherapy techniques, ensuring you gain practical experience. Your tutors and fellow students will be there to guide you every step of the way.
Additionally, our Hybrid training provides extensive online resources that are easy to access and designed to keep you on track. You can read, watch, or listen to these materials anytime. Plus, all live lectures are recorded for extra revision.

Face-to-Face Training in Clinical Hypnotherapy
For those seeking in-person training, our Intensive retreat weekends and annual convention provide a pathway to upgrade your skills. Complementing, our Hybrid Online eLearning Training, is available at a subscription of £95 per month, or inclusive with your fees, has proven highly effective in meeting the learning needs of busy professionals. Upon completing the Hybrid programme, you will be fully prepared to establish your own private practice.

Monthly Meet & Master Training Days on Zoom
To support your learning and skill development, we host monthly Meet & Master training days on Zoom. These sessions allow you to practice the tools and techniques you are learning on the course, receive guidance from experienced trainers, and engage with a supportive community of peers, all from the comfort of your own home. These sessions ensure you consolidate your knowledge regularly and continue progressing between in-person events.
