This month we are focusing on Branding.
Are you thinking about branding you, your business, and your therapeutic services that you offer? Then this is the podcast for you! HypnoGeeks is the podcast for therapists and hypnotherapists who wants to thrive not just survive. What is branding? Branding allows you to build relationships with your audience, it's that important stuff that we talk about. We need to gain rapport with clients, with the people who are following us on our social media platforms. We want people to get to know who we are, a little bit about us and our story too. Once we've got that rapport, we can usually quite rapidly turn them into customers. What we want is loyal customers, we want customers that will use our services, and get all the benefits and then talk about us, share about the healing and transformational experiences that they've had working with us. Then you create a brand that people really care about. You can put yourself at the head, the forefront of your business, and use your branding to your advantage. When it comes to designing, creating, or building a memorable brand, you want it to be something that people remember. You want something that's consistent. I've had several chops and changes over the years, I wanted to be all purple, then white and pink, then blue. As I've grown, developed and changed my business, I've re-branded. I wanted something memorable, somebody once said to me “think about yourself as being Lego.” Lego has got fantastic branding. It has a familiar shape and size, it's got those strong Lego colours. We recognise those Lego colours, they really don't belong to Lego they're just really bright colours but, those bright colours are what we know as Lego colours. You can have a Lego helicopter, a Lego castle, a Lego tree house, a Lego palace, and it’s still Lego, It still looks like Lego even though its lots of different things. I believe that's what we want when we're creating a brand, something that we can be flexible, we can grow and change our businesses, moulding and changing and adding different products. However, our branding still works for us. When you think about the world's most recognisable companies and their logos, you recognise them fast, you see the logo and you know who the company is, for example, You know the tickey thing from Nike or those golden arches that tell you that you on your journey to McDonald's. Apples’ bitten apple, you don't need to see any information to recognise who they are, what they do, you know about them. These images are glued inside our brains, and that's what a strong brand does. A strong brand sticks inside your mind like glue. But what makes them stick? What causes branding to stick, and is it's not just about a strong logo or an icon, it's about the colours, it's about the images, it's about the fonts that we choose. It's even about the feelings that you get when you see a particular image, In Episode 9 of our HypnoGeeks podcast we took a deep dive, a close look at what branding is, so we can really nail it when it comes to branding. I extracted some amazing hot tips on how to create really strong effective branding from my amazing guest Rosie Houghton from Rapport Creative. ListenWatch
